Preparing for Your Remote Online Notarization

Before Your Appointment:

  1. Confirm Acceptance of Virtual Notarization:

    • Confirm that the receiving party accepts virtual notarizations before booking your appointment to avoid delays or rejections.

  2. Complete Your Document:

    • Fill out all required fields (names, dates, addresses, etc.).

    • DO NOT sign the document until instructed during the notarization session.

    • Leave the notary section (acknowledgment/jurat) blank, we’ll handle that during the session.

  3. Gather Valid Identification:

    • A government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License, Passport, State ID).

    • The ID must be current and clearly visible.

    • ID Photo Preparation: Capture a clear photo of your ID (front and back) before the session. Uploading it ahead of time can help speed up the process.

  4. Prepare for Identity Verification:

    • Prepare to enter the last four digits of your Social Security Number as part of the verification process.

    • Be ready to answer Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA) questions, which are security questions based on your personal history.

  5. Prepare Your Tech:

    • Use a device with a working camera and microphone (laptop, desktop, tablet, or smartphone).

    • Ensure a strong, stable internet connection to avoid interruptions.

    • Close unnecessary apps or tabs to improve performance.

    • Use an up-to-date web browser, preferably Google Chrome for the best experience.

    • Test your camera and microphone before the session to confirm they’re working properly.

  6. Have Your Document Ready to Upload:

    • Preferably in PDF format.

    • Ensure the document is clear and legible.

    • Upload the complete document, not just the signature page.

During Your Appointment:

  1. Identity Verification:

    • Complete the ID verification process, including KBA questions and Social Security number confirmation.

    • Show your ID clearly on camera when asked.

  2. Document Review:

    • Review the document with the notary to confirm accuracy.

    • Need to make changes? You can update fields during the session; the process will be recorded for legal compliance.

  3. Sign & Notarize:

    • You’ll sign electronically when instructed.

    • The notary will complete the notarization and apply the official seal.

    • The average session time is 15 minutes.

After Your Appointment:

  • You’ll receive the notarized document via email.

  • Save it securely or forward it as needed.

Pricing Information:
